Romans 8:28 "God works everything out to the good for those who love him."
This has been one of my favorite scriptures and this verse has sustained me through many trials in 2009. I was listening to a Christian radio station here in the Boro and the DJ said something amazing about this particular verse- He said many people think this verse means that when you Love God everything will be fine and God will turn the bad things in your life to good. He said he believes that God also uses your pain and suffering for other people's good! He gave an example of someone close to you dying but because of the death people were saved. Even when you are going through a hard time in your life and you are seeking out HIS Good in it- look at other people's lives, their situations, and remember that HE works out everything to HIS Good and HIS Purpose.

ReplyDeleteSo true . . . and I think that sometimes "His good" is so much bigger than anything we will ever be able to comprehend. We just have to trust that God is faithful and true to his word and that everything is pointed to building his kingdom.
